iHeartRadio - Director, Social Media Strategy (New York, NY)
New York, NY | July 2022 - Present
Joining iHeartRadio was admittedly a pivot from my previous sports-dominant work history. But if there’s something I inherently understand as a Philadelphia sports faithful- it’s the passion and hunger of a committed fan. It’s a perspective that fuels my iHeartRadio strategy. What do fans want need to see?
While I work on strategy across all social platforms and brands (iHeartRadio, iHeartCountry, iHeartFestival, iHeartJingleBall), my daily priority is managing the @iHeartRadio brand, with a collective 13.8M followers across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and TikTok. We embrace a first-person, fan-centric voice that essentially says we are one of you. To achieve this, I design and curate a mix of graphics, photos and my favorite content: videos. In the first 18 months in this role, we saw @iHeartRadio TikTok following 46% to 1.3M and increased total likes 98% to 50.2M.

In addition to music and pop culture news, our team covers iHeartRadio’s seven major tentpole events. Leading up to the events, we create content to drive awareness and promote ticket sales. Day of show, our team delivers behind-the-scenes photo and video content. We want our audience to experience not just the show, but everything from red carpet photos to backstage interactions.
Each year, our iHeartRadio Music Awards includes ~10 fan-voted categories. I’ve created new categories such as “Best Residency” (Winner: Harry Styles) and “Favorite Use of a Sample” (Winner: Taylor Swift). I source nominees and create a road-map of social content to drive voting over the course of several weeks. In 2023, 2024, and 2025, the official show hashtag trended #1 nationally on Twitter.
I believe building community is imperative to a successful social strategy. Leaving witty and engaging comments is a large part of iHeartRadio’s social presence.
iHeartRadio launched “iHeartLand” the premier destination in the metaverse for fans to interact with artists and creators. I developed a social strategy to market, promote and drive traffic to our events hosted in iHeartLand. Events included immersive concerts from Ed Sheeran, Kelsea Ballerini, FloRida and more.

Prior to becoming the Social Media Director at FanSided, there was no social department. This was an exciting opportunity to build a team and strategy with a company I’d been growing with. FanSided - Video Producer
Chicago, IL | June 2018 - September 2019
While my title was “Video Producer”, my time here can best be described as a Utility Player role. A large focus of mine was video editing, where I used Premiere and AfterEffects to create content for FanSided.com, YouTube and various social media channels. These ranged from quick memes to longer interview style pieces. I also produced and edited the weekly “On the Mark with Mark Carman” podcast. As an on-air host, I conducted interviews with various sports and media personalities. One standout memory is having the opportunity to interview my favorite athlete of all time, Philadelphia icon and Hall of Famer, Brian Dawkins. Pivoting from sports, I was tasked with hosting the “Can I Steal You for a Second?” podcast, which covered all things Bachelor Nation. I have also had opportunities to to be on-camera: participating in live shows such a weekly NFL Sunday preview as a host and commentator as well as conducting in studio and field interviews. Here are some highlights from my year with FanSided.
NBC Sports Chicago - Multimedia Web Producer
Chicago, IL | June 2018 - September 2019
As a Multimedia Web Producer with NBC Sports Chicago, I focused on creating digital content highlighting the 5 major Chicago sports teams (Bears, Bulls, Cubs, White Sox, Blackhawks) using Premiere and AfterEffects. I was largely responsible for watching live games and listening to press conferences to identify storylines. I edited highlights and soundbites into short videos to be distributed across our website, app and social media channels. In addition to traditional videos with pre/post game soundbites and highlights, I actively watched the games to look for more playful content that can be shared on social media. Blending my knowledge of sports with trending jokes and memes was my favorite way to engage with an audience.
NFL Films/NFL Network - Production Assistant
Mount Laurel, NJ | August 2017 - February 2018
As a Production Assistant with NFL Films, I had the privilege of working with the NFL Network. Our crew produced two shows: "Good Morning Football Weekend" and "NFL GameDay Morning". I edited bumps and broll tapes using Final Cut. On show days, I live cut segments to post on social media and promptly send reporters their hits. I monitored our Twitter feed for content that we could incorporate into our segments such as breaking news and viewer commentary. I created GIFs, responded to fans and sent out teasers. Below are some of my favorite Tweets, as well as times I was featured in a segment called, "Who Said That?".
Miscellaneous Tweets - @young_ashleye
Boston CityTV
Boston, MA | July 2015 - December 2015
As a production assistant with Boston CityTV, I created content that highlighted events the Mayor of Boston attended. I shot broll footage using Panasonic P2 and edited these teasers on Avid.
Husky News Network
Boston, MA
While at Northeastern University, I participated an immersive course that allowed students to learn the ins and outs of producing a newscast. As multimedia journalists, we researched stories, coordinated interviews, shot and edited pieces. As producers, we wrote scripts and timed rundowns. We also handled all of the studio responsibilities such as directing, running teleprompters and using studio cameras. Below are examples of content I produced during this course:
